Located on Capitol Square near the North Plaza and Broad Street.

This plaque was placed in 2013. Staff of Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and CSRAB's Executive Director William Carleton planted an Ohio Buckeye tree north of the Atrium, with the help of Senator Tom Niehaus, Senator Finan and his family.


This tree is planted in honor of
Senator Richard H. Finan
for forty years of service to the State of Ohio and for his
steadfast dedication and eternal love for the Ohio Statehouse.
The beauty found on Capitol Square would not have been
possible without his passion and vision.
