Discover the Ohio Statehouse.
Update: Beginning on August 7, 2023, the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board will be overseeing an elevator modernization project that will affect the majority of the elevators at Capitol Square. In order to maintain as much accessibility as possible, the elevators will be addressed two at a time, in stages. The project is scheduled to be ongoing through the summer of 2024. While the elevators are under construction, please be aware that some areas of the Capitol will only be accessible to the public via staircases. For more information and a schedule of the construction, please visit ohiostatehouse.org/announcements.
Visitors may enter the building at Third Street or the South sliding doors in the underground parking garage on the Green Level. On session days, visitors may also enter at State Street. The Ohio Statehouse is handicapped accessible and senior-friendly.
The Capitol Square complex includes the Ohio Statehouse, Senate Building and Atrium. The buildings are not only working government offices but a magnificent monument to the people and the period during which Ohio's democracy was founded and formed.
