Bees are important pollinators for plants. An apiary was dedicated Earth Day, April 22, 2015 by Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board with the help of: Annehurst Elementary School, Rod Pritchard of Central Ohio Beekeepers Association, Ward Peterson of Davey Tree Expert Company, Nina Bagley of Nina's Village Apiary and Terry Lieberman-Smith of Ohio State Beekeepers Association. Represenative Dorothy Pelanda and Representative Mike Dovilla read a book to the students.

William Carleton of CSRAB gave the greeting, with introductions by Luke Stedke of CSRAB. Tamra Ansel and John Hutt of CSRAB will oversee the apiary.
