"These Are My Jewels" was designed by Levi Tucker Schofield of Cincinnati for the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition. This bronze, granite & limestone monument was the first monument placed on the Statehouse lawn in 1894. Under a statue of Cornelia, it includes images of 7 "jewels" of Ohio, Grant, Sheridan, Sherman, Garfield, Hayes, Stanton and Chase.
