Keep Ohio Beautiful Day at the Ohio Statehouse was held inside due to rain. Annehurst Elem. Students heard from an entomologist from Scotts Miracle-Gro, and enjoyed a book reading from Ohio State Senator Bob Peterson.

Thanks also to students from Knox County Career Center Landscape Design and Management Program and students from Annehurst Elementary School, Westerville, Ohio.
Partners celebrating the 30th anniversary of Keep Ohio Beautiful were Ohio State Beekeepers Assn., Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources - Urban Forestry, Keep Ohio Beautiful, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Ohio Pollinators Habitat Initiative, Wilds Ohio, Keep Columbus Beautiful, Knox County Career Center, National Wildlife Federation and the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board.
In better weather, a Native Pollinator Garden will be planted. The species included in the native pollinator garden were carefully selected by Ken Christenson, senior biologist for Davey Resource Group and Tamra Ansel, assistant deputy director for grounds with CSRAB. The design plan and herbaceous plants were donated by Davey.
