Flags For 9-11 Installation
The commemoration of 9-11 began with remarks from community leaders.

Senator Frank LaRose, Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board;
Ohio Department of Public Safety;

Columbus City Councilmember Shannon Hardin;
Commander Robert Strausbaugh, Columbus Division of Police;
Samantha Sawmiller, Constituent Services Liaison, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown;
HandsOn Central Ohio President and CEO, Ernest L. Perry, Jr

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) commemorates the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 with a memorial flag display on the west lawn of the Ohio Statehouse. CSRAB has partnered with HandsOn Central Ohio and the Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS.) The U.S. flags represent the 2,977 victims of the Sept. 11 attack. Located on the West Lawn of the Ohio Statehouse, the memorial will be open to the public from 7 p.m. Thursday, September 7 until 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 12.
