In honor of the Ohio Women's Suffrage Cenntennial, a Family Day Festival was held at the Ohio Statehouse on Sunday, August 1, 2021. The event began with the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in the Rotunda, and continued with performances, food and activities on the front lawn of the Ohio Statehouse. The event concluded with a public concert by the Columbus Symhony Orchestra.
The event was made possible by the Ohio Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission and thanks to all the participants and performers.
Free tours of the Ohio Statehouse were available inside, which included a visit to the Ladies' Gallery that pays homage to the first female Ohio legislators who paved the way for women in government, and honors all women who have served in the Ohio General Assembly.
