Doby - Larry Doby
Larry Doby, an All-Star professional baseball player in the Negro leagues and Major League Baseball, was the first Black player in the American League. He signed with the Cleveland Indians only three months after Jackie Robinson was the first Black player in the National League. He was named a Great Ohioan in 2021.
