This historic office is about ceremony and tradition. Since it is the most "original" restored room in the Statehouse, it becomes a focal point for thinking about how the past is related to the present. It continues to provide a presence in the Statehouse for Ohio's chief executive and to serve ceremonial purposes like bill signings and receiving dignitaries from around the world.
