2024-04-29 Repose of Lincoln
The 2024 Civil War Encampment at the Ohio Statehouse and the Repose of Lincoln was a great success. Inside the Rotunda, a replica coffin was on display where Lincoln lay in repose on April 29, 1865. A 36-star flag from 1865 was on exhibit in the Ohio Statehouse courtesy of the Van Tilburg family and the Ohio History Connection.
Outside, a Civil War Encampment provided living history for visitors.
