Description

You can imagine the sights and sounds of the 13 colonies in 1776 – the sharp crack of cannons, the smell of gun smoke in the area, and the small cities and towns. But have you imagined what the food would taste like?

Now is your chance to experience it with the ‘A Taste of 1776’ event at the Ohio Statehouse on Thursday, September 17 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) is teaming up with Lindey’s Restaurant & Bar to take your taste buds back in time to the American Revolution!

A full menu will be announced soon! Food will be served in several different stations, with a variety of bites at each one. Food stations include the Bread & Board Exchange, the Smokehouse & Skillet, the Hearth Table, and so much more! This is a 21-and-up event, and there will be a cash bar with 1776-inspired drinks.

Along with the food stations, there will be a variety of educational offerings presented by CSRAB’s Museum and Education team and entertainment such as dancing and reenactors.

This is a ticketed event with the cost of entry $35 for one person or $60 for two people. Tickets are available for purchase at Statehouseshop.com. Please bring a copy of your receipt to the event – it will be required for entry.
