Biography

Before her election to the Ohio legislature, Cheryl Winkler served two terms as Trustee of Green Township, one term as chair of the Township, and as Clerk of Green Township. She then entered into service in the Ohio General Assembly in 1990 where she represented Hamilton County until 1999.

 

Winkler was a member of the following House committees:

- Family Services (chair),

- Housing and Urban Affairs,

- Children and Youth, and

- Education, Colleges and Universities Subcommittees.

 

Winkler's experience in civic organizations includes the Ohio Township Association, the Western Hamilton County Economic Council, Green Township and Bridgetown Civic Clubs, the Hamilton County Township Association, Diamond Oaks Joint Vocational School Advisory Committee, the Cincinnati Bar Association Auxiliary, and the Northwest Local School District Drug-Free Schools Advisory Council. She was also affiliated with the Green Township and Westwood Republican Clubs, Hamilton County Republican Party, and Westwood United Methodist Church.
