Fred Strahorn graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA in Aviation Management. He attended Sinclair Community College to complete coursework for a real estate license.

 

Prior to his election to the Ohio Legislature, he served as a legislative aide in the Ohio Senate. In 2000, voters from House District 39 elected Strahorn to the Ohio House of Representatives. His memberships on House committees include: Public Utilities, Ways and Means, Finance & Appropriations, Primary & Secondary Education Subcommittee, Economic Development and Environment, House Caucus Policy Chair, and Joint Committee on Agency Rule and Review.

 

Strahorn is a member of the Montgomery County Democratic Party and the Trotwood Democratic Club. He is a former member of the Dayton Board of Realtors. He was also a member of the 1999 Rotary International Group Study Exchange Team to Sweden.
