COLUMBUS, OHIO – In accordance with orders issued today by the President of the United States of America and to honor the victims of the attack perpetrated on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada, flags at the Ohio Statehouse will fly at half-staff effective immediately until sunset, October 6, 2017.

 

Governor Kasich’s order reads:

“In accordance with orders issued today by the President of the United States of America and to honor the victims of the attack perpetrated on October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, October 6, 2017.”
